The distinguished French poet, Claude Vigée, wrote a number of poems in verse and prose following the death of his wife Evelyne in January 2007. First cousins, they had been married for sixty years. I found these words to be some of the most profound and sincere I have experienced. They seem to me almost to define the deepest of all emotions, which are often too deep for words,but here resound with truth and beauty. I met M.Vigee too briefly forty years ago,but these things are timeless. david brittain
